Samsonite Centric 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage With Spinner Wheels in Emerald Green

Samsonite Centric 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels in Emerald Green is an ideal carry-on suitcase for budget travelers. Crafted with high quality materials that you'd find on a Samsonite bag, but priced much lower than most competitors, it makes this luggage an excellent option for anyone on a tight budget.

This bag's top features include multi-directional spinner wheels for effortless rolling along on your journey and an adjustable handle with lock that lets you lock it into various positions without worry of wobbling around. Furthermore, this TSA-approved lock helps keep your belongings secure during transit.

Polycarbonate, one of the toughest luggage materials, provides this ultra-durable piece with a scratch-resistant texture to reduce scratching or chipping. At just 7.5 pounds, it's quite lightweight for a carry-on bag - an average weight for this category.

This carry-on suitcase boasts some impressive details, like the rubberized grip under the top and side handles for extra comfort when lifting, smooth silver zippers that are easy to grip and pull, as well as a TSA-approved lock. Crafted in the USA with a 10-year warranty, this hard-sided case comes with an impressive list of features.

Many people have an emotional response to spinner wheels, but this suitcase proves why they're so popular. With four smooth-rolling spinner wheels, you can effortlessly transport your case through security and onto your flight with ease.

Another appealing feature is the expansion option, which enables you to take your suitcase up to 2 inches larger for souvenirs purchased during your journey. This handy feature comes in handy for those planning multiple trips at once.

Overall, this is an affordable carry-on suitcase that will serve you well and get you from A to B with style. It comes in various colors so there's sure to be one that suits your needs perfectly.

Design & Specs

When it comes to a carry-on, the fact that it can be stored in the overhead compartment of an airline is the single most significant consideration. If you get at your destination and find that your carry-on luggage won't fit under the seat in front of you, then the entire purpose of bringing a carry-on has been rendered moot.

Although it is said that this bag has a height of 20 inches, it is essential to realize that this dimension really relates to the amount of room inside the bag that may be packed. When I measured it, I found that the whole height of the bag's exterior, including the wheels, came in at 22 inches. This includes the handle. However, this is still well within the dimensions allowed by the FAA, and based on my own experience, this bag has no problem fitting on almost all domestic and international flights, with the exception of the really small jumper aircraft.

The high-quality polycarbonate is used in the construction of the hard-sided suitcase. The twill pattern has a surface that is resistant to scratching and scuffing and has a somewhat glossy appearance. This carry-on has a weight of 7.5 pounds, which is considered to be about normal for carry-on bags, and it is light enough to hoist into overhead bins without any difficulty. In addition, there is a rubberized grip beneath the top and side handles, which provides additional comfort while lifting the bag. Also, the smooth silver zippers are simple to grab and pull, and there is a lock that is certified by the TSA.

The four wheels that may go in a variety of directions are also quite good. They are unobtrusive, and the luggage may move effortlessly in front of you, to the side of you, or behind you on virtually any surface. On the other hand, they do not perform as well on dense carpet as some of the best wheels that I have tried out on various other bags. But, throughout the course of my travels, I haven't come across too many situations in which I've really required to pull the bag across plush carpet, so this hasn't proven to be a major problem for me.

How It Feels To Use It

The durability of the Samsonite Centric Hardside Carry-On is one of its greatest features, as seen by the fact that I've been using it for a few years now without any problems. Even though there are a few scuff marks evident on the bag if you really come up close to check it, the scratches are not very noticeable. There are no significant scuffs or dings to speak of, and the bag still seems to be in nearly brand-new condition when viewed from a distance.

As was noted before, the wheels make it very simple to carry the bag on and off of planes and through congested airports. They also make it very easy to roll the suitcase across most surfaces. The height of the adjustable handle is about right; however, it has a fair amount of wiggle room and might be made more robust.

Although though this carry-on only has 20 inches of inside room, I have been able to easily put enough clothing for a week's worth of travel in it when I use it on longer excursions. The inside does not come with any extra luxuries, but the sturdy buckles, mesh zipper pocket, and packing cubes are suitable for fastening clothing, shoes, and other items. Because the handle poles take up some room on one side of the bag, it may be difficult to spread out garments in a completely flat position within the bag. On the other hand, if you pack strategically, you may construct a basis for yourself out of more diminutive stuff, and then lay extra garments down flat on top of that. On the side of the bag that has the mesh zipper, I prefer to store shoes and other goods that require more fastening, and on the opposite side, I like to place heavier items like sweaters so that I can pull the buckles tight to help compress them.

This bag also has the capability of expanding, which is accomplished by unzipping additional zippers located on the exterior. Despite the fact that I do not advise selecting the expandable option if you are certain that you will be traveling on a smaller aircraft, I really enjoy the freedom that this choice provides. I've used the expandable option on longer international and cross-country flights when I was confident that the overhead bins would easily accommodate the bag even at a slightly larger width. This was the case when I knew that the overhead bins would accommodate the bag even at a slightly larger width. It is also a good feature for tourists who, like myself, have a habit of constantly picking up a memento or two and who want additional space in their luggage in order to get these souvenirs back home.
